Amerityre Corp. has named a new CEO. Michael Sullivan, who has served as the company's chief operating officer since Dec. 1, 2014, was appointed CEO on April 1, 2015.
According to a filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, Sullivan has 28 years of experience in operations management and engineering management in a variety of manufacturing industries.
He started his career at Johnson Matthey in 1987, where during his tenure he completed a 5 year expatriate assignment in Belgium designing, constructing and managing Europe’s largest autocatalyst facility. From 1996 to 2007, his titles included director of manufacturing for General Chemical’s Electronic Materials facility; director of operations for Life Measurement Inc., a medical device manufacturer; as director of operations for Pinole Point Steel, a division of Material Sciences Corporation; and as chief operating officer at Professional Finishing, Inc., a privately held coating company. From January 2008 through November 2014, Mr. Sullivan was principal at Versa Engineering and Technology, a privately held engineering consulting firm.
Amerityre says Sullivan has extensive quality management experience and is an IRCA certified auditor. He holds a BSE in Chemical Engineering from the University of Pennsylvania and an MBA in Finance and Marketing from the Haas School of Business at UC Berkeley.
Sullivan replaces Timothy Ryan, who resigned as CEO on April 1 but remains Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Company.
