Shawn Rasey resigns from BKT

BKT Tires Inc., the subsidiary of Balkrishna Industries Ltd., has accepted the resignation of Shawn Rasey, president of the company's heavy construction and mining tire division.

“We thank Mr. Rasey for his contributions to the company and wish him well in his new endeavors," says Rajiv Poddar, joint managing director of Balkrishna Industries Ltd. Rasey joined the company in 2014 to develop the heavy construction and mining tire presence in North America.

Rasey led the company's Brentwood, Tenn. office, which serves the heavy construction and mining tire industry. It now will be led by Michael Aguon, as associate vice president. Aguon will report to BKT President Minoo Mehta.

“We are pleased to welcome Mr. Aguon to the BKT team.  Mike has extensive OTR tire experience, previously holding engineering and product management positions with Bridgestone and Alliance Tire.”

Aguon holds a bachelor's degree in accounting and a MBA from the University of Phoenix.
