BKT Unveils ATV Tire and Tractor Tire at the SEMA Show

Nov. 3, 2017

Balkrishna Industries Ltd. (BKT) has expanded its lineup at the 2017 Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) Show with two new products. The AT 171 features a special directional and extra deep tread design to provide traction in wet and muddy conditions with a self-cleaning tread pattern for mud removal. Multiple-angled lugs are used to reduce vibration while cruising on hard-pack conditions.

The tire is made from a cut-, tear- and chip-resistant compound to resist against punctures from roots, rocks and other objects on the trails.

The AT 171 is tall and narrow, and able to slice through the mud for higher speeds and quicker run times. The height assists in the tire's ability to maneuver through heavily rutted areas while protecting the undercarriage of the vehicle.

The Agrimax V-Flecto is designed to decrease soil compaction, reduce operating costs and offer higher load capacity.  BKT says the technological aspects of farm tires are growing, and pointing toward products that offer a combination of solutions to streamline the end-user's work and increase productivity. The company says the Agrimax V-Flecto is part of that trend, and improves tractor performance on all kinds of terrain.

The tire also offers a life cycle that is at least 10% longer than its standard equivalent the BKT says, thus optimizing overall management and maintenance costs.

The ultra-resistant casing and the reinforced bead make the Agrimax V-Flecto a versatile product both in the fields and on the road during transfers — without changing the inflation pressure along the way.

BKT says that's one of the Agrimax V-Flecto's greatest strengths: the ability to maximize the load without having to change the inflation pressure, regardless of the speed. That means the user can transport 40% more weight compared to a standard tire of the same size and with the same recommended rim.

The tire also reduces soil compaction, thanks to a streamlined footprint and a 10% larger tread profile. The Agrimax V-Flecto also offers driving comfort due to the optimized new lug angle design, which greatly reduces vibrations and noise during road transfers.

Both the AT 171 and Agrimax V-Flecto are on display at the SEMA Show in BKT's booth, No. 43207.
