"Natural rubber prices continue to escalate to all time highs, and other raw materials and transportation costs also continue to rise," says Titan Tire Corp.

As a result, Titan will implement a price increase for all Titan branded tires and Titan manufactured Goodyear branded farm tires effective Jan. 1, 2011. The increases will be up to 8% in most cases; prices on some tires will be higher "due to repositioning."

Titan is the third off-the-road tire manufacturer to announce domestic price hikes in the last few months.

Yokohama Tire Corp. will increase prices on its bias and radial OTR tires by up to 5% tires in the U.S., also effective Jan. 1.

Bridgestone Americas Tire Operations raised prices on its Bridgestone, Firestone and associate brand agricultural and off-road tires by up to 8% earlier this month.
