CGS gets ready to raise ag tire prices

Nov. 29, 2010

CGS Tyres Group will soon raise tire prices on its agricultural and industrial tires in all its markets, including North America and Europe.

The hikes will range from 7.5% to 10%. They will be effective Jan. 1, 2011.

The increases are necessary "due to the rising prices of raw materials," according to the company.

CGS is the third off-the-road tire manufacturer to announce domestic price hikes effective Jan. 1.

Titan Tire Corp. says it will implement a price increase for all Titan branded tires and Titan manufactured Goodyear branded farm tires "up to 8% in most cases."

Yokohama Tire Corp. will increase prices on its bias and radial OTR tires by up to 5% tires in the U.S.

Bridgestone Americas Tire Operations raised prices on its Bridgestone, Firestone and associate brand agricultural and off-road tires by up to 8% in early November.
