The new Model BTT-5700 electronic tire tester and inspector from Branick Industries Inc. features an adjustable height platform.
The company says the platform adjusts from 15 inches to 32 inches to provide an ergonomic working environment. The swivel-arm mounted operator panel lets technicians put the controls where needed.
The U.S.- made BTT-5700 is more compact than most other systems without sacrificing functionality. It accurately detects punctures, partial penetrations and metal objects still in the tread. A detected flaw stops tire rotation and the flaw light and visible spark make sure it won’t be missed.
There is an attached tool tray, two electric outlets and four air tool ports to improve efficiency. The inspection platform has an auto-extend / retract ramp for easy tire loading.
The BTT-5700 can function in both automatic and manual modes to help pinpoint the more challenging flaws. Dual sided foot controls are included for the bi-directional rotation and rotation speed can be adjusted to optimize efficiency of inspection. Rotation is powered by an electric motor to reduce noise levels, improving manual detection and safety. All probe, spread and lift controls are hand operated.
The BTT-5700 can handle tires up to 24.5 inches bead diameter and 18 inches cross section. A medium truck probe is included with the unit and many other probe sizes are available to ensure complete coverage of all tire types.
