Max Finkelstein Inc. has opened its second distribution center in Virginia. The new DC is located outside of Richmond, Va., in Colonial Heights.
The tire wholesaler had previously opened a distribution center in Winchester, Va., in the spring of 2017.
With the opening, Max Finkelstein (MFI) has 15 distribution centers.
The new facility is a 116,500-square-foot, fully functional, cross dock design building. It includes 34 dock doors.
The distribution center operates multiple shifts, providing delivery services and will-call pick-up Monday through Saturday. It stocks and supplies the full assortment of consumer, commercial and specialty tire brands offered by MFI.
“As our business continues to expand, this new facility further strengthens our distribution network in the Mid-Atlantic region, and ensures that we can best serve our customers in Richmond and the surrounding markets throughout the southern half of Virginia,” said Sean Franciscus, supply chain director.
“We are excited to finally have a presence in Richmond, a strategic market with a successful customer base, while also allowing us to service surrounding markets in southern Virginia, including Norfolk and Newport News,” added Brian Finkelstein, vice president of sales.
The Colonial Heights distribution center stocks and supplies the full assortment of consumer, commercial, and specialty tire brands, and marketing programs offered by MFI.
