Global Rubber Industries (Pvt) Ltd. and the Al Dobowi Group have entered into a strategic business partnership to distribute the GRI specialty tire brand in the Middle East and Africa.
"Al Dobowi and GRI share the same business principle based on providing high quality products to its customers," said Surender Kandhari, founder and chairman the Al Dobowi Group, at the recent launch in Dubai. "GRI, being one of the largest specialty tire manufacturers in Sri Lanka, have become the trusted and reliable manufacturer of construction, agricultural and material handling tires."
Prabhash Subasinghe, managing director of GRI, echoed those sentiments.
"Al Dobowi is a leading robust and quality-oriented company that provides exceptional customer satisfaction and unparalleled levels of service," he said. "We find that these values complement and are coherent with GRI’s values of purposeful action and relentless drive."
Mahesha Ranasoma, CEO of GRI, and Rohit Raina, CEO of the Al Dobowi Group, were also present at the event and will work in close collaboration.
As part of the launch, GRI introduced the Grip EX R400, a tire designed for tough working conditions in construction and other industrial applications.
Al Dobowi Group is a systems and solutions provider for tire management, power storage, industrial rubber, material handling and fluid management industries. Established in 1976, the company says it "functions as a unified corporate enterprise, focused on excelling in the business of manufacturing and distribution."
GRI, based in Sri Lanka, is a leading producer of specialty tires. It produces agriculture, construction and material handling tires.
