Goodyear Expands Endurance Truck Tire Line

Feb. 3, 2016

Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co. has introduced the Endurance RSA tire for regional and urban applications.

The Endurance RSA will be available in 11 sizes, starting with 11R22.5, load ranges G and H, in April 2016.

The company says the new tire offers more miles to removal, lower rolling resistance and more resistance to curb impact damage than its predecessor, the Goodyear G661 HSA.

The tire features Goodyear IntelliMax Rib Technology, with contoured sipes for ideal tread stiffness when the Endurance RSA rolls through its footprint. This helps provide regular wear and high mileage potential, plus optimal snow and ice grip, according to Goodyear.

Other features include:

* tread design with a computer-optimized footprint and 22/32-inch tread depth for excellent mileage;

* steel casing with super-tensile steel belts for extra toughness and durability;

* dual-layer tread compound for improved fuel economy and greenhouse gas compliance; and

* premium casing for optimal retreadability.

“Regional and urban delivery fleets encounter a wide range of road conditions and challenges,’ says Norberto Flores, marketing manager for Goodyear. “They want a tire that can rise to every occasion. We believe the new Endurance RSA more than fits the bill and will become the preferred tire for these operations.”
