Hankook Prepares to Roll Out 2 New Tires at MATS

March 28, 2016

Hankook Tire America Corp. is attending the 2016 Mid-America Trucking Show (MATS) armed with two new truck tires.

The show will be held at the Kentucky Exposition Center in Louisville March 31 through April 2.

“The DH07 and TH22 offer fleets two new quality patterns for drive position and trailer applications,” says Brian Sheehey, senior director of commercial tire sales.

1. DH07, a drive position/pickup and delivery tire. Developed with a focus on improved durability, ride, and handling performance, the medium and long-haul service tire features a wide, three channel zigzag groove tread pattern that helps prevent stone drilling and has self cleaning ability. The DH07’s belt structure has been improved from previous Hankook tires for reduced heat generation. In addition, an "optimized structure" offers better ride and handling, while an improved bead design profile offers improved retreadability. The DH07 is available in three 19.5 inch sizes; 225/70R19.5, 245/70R19.5 and 265/70R19.5.

2. TH22, a low platform trailer tire. The tire features a special chip-and-cut compound for durability. Additionally, the TH22's design incorporates a unique belt structure to minimize deformation for lower rolling resistance; an enlarged carcass profile with a reinforced belt cord that also focuses on improved durability; and a reinforced bead structure that enhances load performance. The tire is available in four  sizes: 215/75R17.5, 235/75R17.5, 245/70R17.5 and 255/70R22.5.

Hankook provides coverage for all truck and bus tire service applications with 20 models. Additionally, Hankook has a number of commercial truck, light truck an passenger tire original equipment fitment agreements with multiple global, premium vehicle manufacturers.
