The new Potenza RE980AS ultra high performance tire from Bridgestone Americas Inc. is engineered for luxury and performance vehicles.
A redesigned tread provides more grip and improved wet and dry braking. The new tread is specially built to evacuate water away from the tire in wet conditions, helping reduce the risk of hydroplaning.
New compounds provide flexibility in colder temperatures to to improve handling in snow. An asymmetric tread design with 3-D sipes enables the tire to bite into snow for better traction.
The Potenza RE980AS is backed by a 50,000-mile limited tread wear warranty. It is available in 35 sizes ranging from 16 inches to 20 inches, with 18 more sizes coming later this year.
