Hercules Adds Avalanche XUV Winter Tire for CUVs and SUVs

The new Avalanche XUV winter tire is designed for CUVs and SUVs.

Hercules Tire & Rubber Co. says the new Avalanche XUV is the first dedicated winter tire for crossover utility and sport utility vehicles. The tire has earned the three-peak mountain snowflake emblem for severe weather performance.

Manufactured in the United States, the Avalanche XUV features a proprietary winterized tread pattern with Snow Grabber Grooves to deliver snow-on-snow traction.

Tailored thin-gauge full depth sipes prolong tread life and provide a more responsive ride. The improved contact patch surface area increases rubber contact with the road for a greater grip on icy roads. Stud pins provide the option for additional ice traction.
