Hankook Tire America Corp. is adding 26 sizes to its I*Pike RW11 winter tire, which more than doubles the tire's complete size offering.
"The line was picked for expansion in response to a recent increase in demand for winter tires in North America," say Hankook officials.
The studdable light truck/SUV tire fits wheels ranging from 13 inches to 20 inches in diameter and comes in LT-metric sizes.
"More and more light truck and SUV owners who need the load carrying capacity of an LT-metric tire have been specifically requesting the winter traction and grip that you get with the tread design and compounds found in a snow tire," says Bill Bainbridge, Hankook director of brand communications.
