Porsche picks ContiSportContact 3 for Panamera

The new Porsche Panamera will use Continental AG's ContiSportContact 3 ultra-high performance tire.

The car will use size 255/45ZR19 tires on the front axle and size 285/40ZR19 tires on the rear. Alternative sizes of 245/50ZR18 and 275/45ZR18 have been approved by Porsche, as well.

"We spent long hours on computer stimulations, carrying out trials on test beds and doing thousands of test miles on a range of tracks and racing circuits in Europe to match the tires as closely as possible to the car," says Continental Tire Developer Uwe Kachel.
