Lotus Cars Ltd. has selected Pirelli & Cie SpA as the principal supplier of tires for its new Lotus Evora.
Pirelli will supply Lotus with its P Zero in two sizes:
Front, 225/40ZR18 92Y XL.
Rear, 255/35ZR19 96Y XL.
“The Lotus Evora has been developed to deliver class-leading steering and handling performance whilst maintaining excellent ride quality," says Mathew Becker, executive engineer of vehicle dynamics for Lotus. "The exceptional abilities of Pirelli’s P Zero enhance these vital elements."
The Pirelli P Zero, which features an asymmetric tread pattern, recently was named Tire of the Year for 2009 by Auto Express. The magazine recognized the tire for its dry and wet handling capabilities.
