Yokohama Tire Corp. is planning consumer and dealer promotions in conjunction with two professional football teams, the Cleveland Browns and the Baltimore Ravens, and two college teams.
The college teams are the UCLA Bruins and the USC Trojans.
The campaign, called "Home Team Pride," involves jersey giveaways. "Dealers in specific markets (will) offer free, official replica team jerseys to every customer who buys any four Yokohama tires," say Yokohama officials.
The company also will have signage and product displays at stadiums, and will use TV and radio spots, as well as teams' Web sites and newsletters, to promote the campaign.
This season represents the third consecutive year that Yokohama has partnered with football teams. Yokohama also has enjoyed successful marketing partnerships with two National Basketball Association teams, the San Antonio Spurs and the Boston Celtics.
