TGI will distribute GT Radial lines

Tire Group International Inc. (TGI) and GITI Tire USA Ltd. have entered into an distribution arrangement that will allow TGI to distribute GT Radial brand tires in South Florida.

TGI will carry the full line of GT Radial tires, including the Maxtour line and Champiro 128, Champiro 228, Champiro 328, Champiro 528, Savero H/T, Adventuro A/T II and Adventuro M/T lines. The GT Radial line-up will be stocked in TGI's Miami distribution center.

“GT Radial is a perfect fit for TGI, and with our marketing expertise and current customer base, we feel that we can make a significant impact in our market rather quickly,” says Tony Gonzalez, TGI's CEO.

GT Radial and TGI will leverage their respective strengths by implementing a retail market approach. TGI will utilize its "value-added wholesale business model through established access to the retail market in southern Florida." GT Radial will provide a strong product portfolio and aggressive point-of-sale and retail support programs.

TGI carries more than 40 brands of tires, covering every segment of the tire industry. TGI also distributes:

* its own private label tires, Astro, Cosmo, Industar, Luna and Orion; and

* MRF, Cooper, Sumitomo, Delta, Matador and Mickey Thompson, among others.
