Pirelli Tire North America’s partner Go Green Auto Rally (GGAR) has won the bronze award at the 2011 Edison Best New Product Awards ceremony in New York City. GGAR by Dojupa was a finalist in the In-Car Driving Aids category.
GGAR was one of three finalists honored at the program in its category.
The awards symbolize the persistence and excellence personified by Thomas Alva Edison, inspiring America’s drive to remain in the forefront of innovation, creativity and ingenuity in the global economy. GGAR’s Bronze Edison Award for Best New Product recognized forward-thinking and innovation in the creation and implementation of its program.
Pirelli says it fully supports the GGAR’s new concept in competitive, sustainable driver training. The partnership between Pirelli and GGAR combines the “Green Speed” of GGAR with the “Green Performance” strategy of Pirelli. Through this program, Pirelli says it is helping develop solutions that combine maximum performance and safety with respect for the environment.
“Go Green Auto Rally has achieved so much in such a short amount of time,” says Tom Gravalos, vice-president of marketing, motorsport and original equipment for Pirelli Tire North America. “For a project that is less than a year old to be recognized by industry titans as an innovator and influencer is impressive; to receive an award for Best New Product is even more so.”
Go Green Auto Rally (GGAR) teaches drivers to reduce their carbon footprint, save money through less fuel consumption and to increase their safety behind the wheel of their own vehicles – no matter what they drive.
