Campbell Metcalfe, vice president of finance and operations for Triangle Tire USA, will become CEO of the company on June 30, when current CEO Manny Cicero retires.
Metcalfe was vice president of supply chain management for Resource Label Group before joining Triangle Tire USA.
He previously held a variety of financial management positions for Bridgestone Americas Inc. from 1994 to 2015.
A 43-year tire industry veteran, Cicero joined Triangle in December 2015 as CEO of its then-new Triangle Tire USA subsidiary.
In that role, Cicero helped establish Triangle's presence in the United States, growing its brand equity and "shifting the company’s distribution strategy away from brokers to long-term U.S. distribution partners," according to Triangle officials.
"Under his leadership, a U.S. team was organized, warehouses were established in Nashville, Tenn., and Escondido, Calif., and some of the industry’s leading commercial tire dealers were signed."
Cicero also helped Triangle boost its OTR and specialty tire sales in the U.S.
“I made a five-year commitment to Triangle when I joined the company in late 2015," he says. "I went past that by about six months. I feel proud that the brand made good progress in the U.S. during that time and is well-positioned for the future.

"I treasure the many friendships I made in the industry over those years.”
Cicero started his tire industry career in 1978 as a consumer relations specialist for Michelin.
In 1984, he joined Bridgestone, where he held a variety of ascending managerial positions, eventually running the company's OTR tire business.
After leaving Bridgestone in 2005, Cicero ran Denman Tire, a 100-year-old specialty tire company, before becoming president of Alliance Tire Americas Inc., now known as Yokohama Off-Highway Tires America Inc., in 2007, a position he held until 2014.
After retirement, Cicero will continue to serve Triangle in an advisory role.
