T.J. Jordan Joins Cooper Board

Tyrone (T.J.) Jordan, the former president and chief operating officer of Dura Automotive Systems, has joined the board of directors at Cooper Tire & Rubber Co. as of Jan. 10.

Dura is a supplier of electric/hybrid systems, advanced driver-assistance systems, mechatronics, lightweight structural systems, and luxury trim systems for premier automotive brands. Under his leadership, Dura instituted new electric vehicle and hybrid smart technologies and a strategy designed around the next evolution of mobility.

Jordan joined Dura in 2015 after 25 years with General Motors Co., which included time living in Brazil, China and Mexico. He also worked for United Technologies Corp. for five years in leadership roles that included senior vice president, global operations and supply chain.

Jordan also currently serves on the boards of directors of TPI Composites Inc., Oshkosh Corp., Trinity Industries Inc., and on the Dean’s Advisory Board of the College of Business of Eastern Michigan University.

He received his executive aerospace and defense MBA from the University of Tennessee, a degree in pre-law from Eastern Michigan University and a degree in industrial engineering technology from Purdue University.
