OTR Engineered Solutions has expanded its SolidBoss smooth skid steer tire lineup with a new 31x10-20 size.

The semi-pneumatic tire assembly is designed for skid steers operating in hard-surface and severe-duty applications, including demolition sites, recycling facilities, scrap yards, waste handling operations and other environments where tire damage can lead to downtime.

The SolidBoss smooth tire is built for use on abrasive surfaces, including asphalt and concrete. Its flat-free construction eliminates the risk of punctures, while cushioning apertures are designed to absorb shock and provide a smoother ride than traditional solid tires, according to OTR officials.

“The addition of the 31x10-20 size allows us to accommodate an even wider range of skid steers,” said Steve Jensen, vice president of national accounts at OTR Engineered Solutions. “Customers have consistently asked for more flat-free options in this size category, and we’re excited to bring the proven durability and ride quality of SolidBoss smooth tires to even more machines and applications.”

The SolidBoss smooth tire also features rubber compounds designed to resist chunking, tearing and slicing in severe-duty environments. OTR officials say the tire is engineered to help extend service life, reduce maintenance costs and increase uptime.

The new 31x10-20 assembly features an 8-on-8.0 bolt pattern and is available through OTR’s distribution network and online at otrb2b.com.
