As the 2026 Mint 400 kicks off this week in Primm, Nevada, BFGoodrich Racing hopes to secure its 14th consecutive overall victory.

This year, defending overall champion Adam Householder is seeking a three-peat as BFGoodrich racers prepare for "The Great American Off-Road Race" March 6-7, officials say. Householder claimed his second consecutive Unlimited Race title last year on BFGoodrich Baja T/A KR3 tires.

Since earning its first Mint 400 overall victory in 1986, BFGoodrich officials say its teams have won the championship "more times than any other tire brand." The brand became the race's title sponsor in 2018.

Seven-time NASCAR Cup series champion Jimmie Johnson will race with Troy Herbst this year in the No. 84 2WD Unlimited Truck.

In the UTV classics, Brock Heger of the Polaris Factory Race Team will defend his 2025 Mint 400 Limited Race title, again racing in the UTV Pro Class. Joe Terrana and Ethan Groom join the Polaris team this year, alongside Heger and perennial contender Cayden MacCachren.

Mitch Guthrie Jr. will race his Polaris RZR Pro R on 35” BFGoodrich Baja T/A KR2 SXS/UTV tires. Additionally, Phil Blurton will be joined this year by Corbin Leaverton and Cody Bradbury, all racing the Can Am Maverick R. Sara Price will also race her Maverick R in the UTV Pro Stock Modified class.

"BFGoodrich Racing earned 18 class wins on the 95-mile course, and an additional eight class wins on the 73-mile course for lower-powered classes, such as stock and vintage vehicles, in the 2025 Mint 400," according to officials.

"BFGoodrich Racing is always hungry for our next victory and for feedback from our athletes," says Raymond Cotton, motorsports director for Michelin North America. "That’s how we make superior tires for Unlimited Truck racers in premier desert races as well as weekend warriors who go off-roading as a hobby.”

The 2026 Mint 400 festivities begin March 4 with the annual parade of race vehicles down the Las Vegas Strip and the Off-Road Festival the next day.
