Joey Logano, Joe Gibbs Racing and Raybestos brakes and chassis parts dominated at Pocono by winning the pole AND securing the victory. Logano achieved his first career win under rainy conditions, but this win was secured under full sun and full power… pulling away from Mark Martin in lap 157 to win the Pocono 400. This marks the team’s fourth season victory and its ninth win at Pocono.
“Jason Ratcliff [crew chief] and the guys gave me one heck of a car,” said Logano. “The brake package on this thing was amazing. I was able to out-brake a lot of guys into [turn] one all day and made some passes there.” Logano beat Mark Martin to the finish line by .997 seconds… the first time in 31 Sprint Cup events a driver has won from the pole. He also gave his crew chief, Jason Ratcliff, his first Cup win. At 22 years old, Logano is the youngest driver to win at Pocono.
The Raybestos racing brake package, used by NASCAR teams like Joe Gibbs Racing, combines ample stopping power with a considerable weight savings advantage on tracks like Pocono’s 2.5 mile tri-oval track.
For reliable performance, all the Joe Gibbs Sprint Cup racecars are also equipped with Raybestos Racing ball joints and tie rods. The premium-quality chassis parts help fine-tune each car’s suspension setup for optimal grip and handling.
