Bridgestone Corp. has been named a General Motors Corp. (GM) Supplier of the Year.
"The award is for excellence in tires and related service provided to GM globally in 2005 by Tokyo-based Bridgestone Corporation and its global group of companies," say Bridgestone officials.
Bridgestone was recognized as a GM Supplier of the Year "because they exceeded our expectations in 2005," says Bo Andersson, vice president of global purchasing and supply chain for GM.
