Pep Boys CEO steps down from post

Pep Boys -- Manny, Moe & Jack CEO Larry Stevenson has resigned.

The chain's board of directors has named Bill Leonard as interim CEO. Leonard also serves as Pep Boys' non-executive chairman.

Stevenson submitted his resignation July 18, says a Pep Boys spokesman.

Leonard has served on Pep Boys’ board since 2002 and has been the board's chairman since February.
