Premium service team gives Yokohama an Advan-tage

The Yokohama Advan has formed its own "club." The new Advan Premium Service Team caters to both tire dealers who sell Advan, and consumers who buy the ultra-high performance line.

The special, dedicated group is designed to help address any Advan-related questions or issues. "A premium tire like this should have a premium service team to back it," says Jim Mayfield, director of the Advan brand for Yokohama Tire Corp.

The Advan line, which includes the Neova, S.T., Sport, A048 and S.4, is original equipment on the Bentley Continental GT and Flying Spur, Lotus Exige and Elise, Audi S8, Porsche 997 Carrera 4 and Lexus GS300 and GS430.

The newly formed, three-person team is headed by long-time Yokohama customer service specialist Karen Simmons It also includes Paul Algarin and Al Pierre. The group will work in a special "Advan area" in Yokohama's United States headquarters in Fullerton, Calif.

Services offered include a 24-hour Advan hotline and an Advan-dedicated Web site that is currently being refurbished.

"The mission here is to offer the highest level of service," says Mayfield. "Our team members have been trained and given the responsibility of helping consumers who buy Advan tires, as well as the OE dealers who are selling vehicles with Advan tires on them and authorized Advan Premium Service tire dealers.

"Every dealer who participates in this program is going to be treated with concierge service. We'll do whatever is necessary to make sure those buying and selling Advans are taken care of in the best way possible."
