Bridgestone will raise prices in Japan

Bridgestone Corp. will hike replacement tire prices in Japan this coming February.

Passenger and light truck tire prices will rise 5.5%, truck and bus tire prices will go up 8% and tire prices for construction vehicles will be raised some 10%.

"Prices of raw materials for tires such as natural rubber and petrochemical materials such as synthetic rubber and carbon black remain at high levels," say Bridgestone officials.
