BFNT ships run-flats to BMW plant in S.C.

Bridgestone Firestone North American Tire LLC's (BFNT) Wilson, N.C., plant has shipped its first load of run-flat tires to BMW.

The Wilson plant is the first BFNT facility in the United States to produce Bridgestone-brand run-flat tires (in size 225/45R17 91W).

The tires were sent to BMW's assembly plant in Spartanburg, S.C., for original equipment application on the BMW Z4.
