Continental Tire Canada announces price increases

Continental Tire Canada Inc., a division of Continental Tire North America Inc., will increase tire prices effective Jan. 1, 2007.

The adjustment of up to 8% will affect all the company's Continental, General and associate brand passenger and light truck tires in the replacement channel. The increase will vary by marketing line and/or size.

The Toronto, Ontario-based company cites "the continued escalation of transportation and other related operational expenses" as the reason for the announced increases.
