Triple C: Christmas, Chick-fil-A and CJ's

July 26, 2013

CJ’s Tire & Automotive Services celebrated Christmas in July last week with the help of Chick-fil-A Properties Inc.

The invitation-only "holiday event" was held July 24, 2013, at the Chick-fil-A restaurant in Exeter, Penn. It benefited Operation Nine Reindeer (O9R), which helps local families with special needs at Christmastime.

Special guests at the restaurant included Santa Claus; the mascots from the Reading Fightin Phils, a Double A minor league baseball team sponsored by CJ's; and the Chick-fil-A cow.

Chick-fil-A donated 15% of the proceeds from the evening to the charity. It also made the same donation for anyone bringing his or her invitation into the restaurant the next day.

The Christmas in July festivities continued on the 25th with free tickets to the Fightin Phils game at FirstEnergy Stadium. Santa and representatives from CJ’s were on hand to collect small change for O9R and hand out "goodies" for kids of all ages. At game time, the Fightin Phils took the field wearing bright red Santa jerseys, with 25 lucky fans winning the jerseys courtesy of CJ's.
