Best in the Desert race series runs with Maxxis tires

Jan. 29, 2007

Maxxis has been named the official tire of Best in the Desert endurance racing series.

The series runs from January through December, with five car and truck events and six motorcycle, quad and UTV events on the 2007 schedule.

The series’ flagship race, the TSCO “Vegas to Reno” event in August, covers almost the entire state of Nevada and is the longest off-road race in the United States, reports Maxxis International. Other popular races on the schedule include the Parker “425,” Terrible’s Town “250,” Las Vegas "300," and the Henderson's Terrible "400."

“I think it will be a wonderful partnership,” says series owner Casey Folks. “It’s a win-win combination. We’re excited. We’ve generated a lot of interest already in the off-road races. And I think it’s going to be a long-term partnership.

“Maxxis offers a full complement of tires” for every category in Best in the Desert, notes Folks.

Maxxis Automotive/LT Sales Manager Doug Addis adds, “We are both pleased and excited to have an opportunity to partner up with Best in the Desert. They are among the top names in off-road racing, and I think they know they can count on us to help maintain that status. This takes our off-road program and participation to a new level. We look forward to working together to continue building awareness for both of us."
