Shareholders of the Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co. re-elected 11 members of the company's board of directors to one-year terms. They are (with the year they joined the board in parentheses):

* William Hudson Jr., former president and chief operating officer, AMP Inc. (1995);
* Robert Keegan, chairman, CEO and president, Goodyear (2000);
* Steven Minter, former president and executive director, The Cleveland Foundation (1985);
* Denise Morrison, senior vice president, Campbell USA Soup, Sauce and and Beverage (2006);
* Rodney O'Neal, CEO and president, Delphi Corp. (2004);
* Shirley Peterson, former partner, Steptoe & Johnson LLP (2004);
* Craig Sullivan, former chairman and CEO, The Clorox Co. (2006);
* Thomas Weidemeyer, former senior vice president and chief operating officer, United Parcel Service Inc. (2004); and
* Michael Wessel, president, The Wessel Group Inc. (2005).
One board member, Gary Forsee, chairman, CEO and president of Sprint Nextel Corp., declined to stand for re-election. He had been a Goodyear board member since 2002.
Replacing Forsee on the 12-member board is 57-year-old W. Alan McCollough, former chairman and CEO of Circuit City Stores Inc.
A shareholder proposal requesting the adoption of a simple majority vote standard for all issues subject to shareholder vote failed to receive a majority of votes outstanding.
In other business, shareholder proposals related to executive
compensation and retirement benefits failed to receive a majority of
votes outstanding. A shareholder proposal requesting the adoption of a simple majority vote standard for all issues subject to shareholder vote also failed to receive a majority of votes outstanding.
