Tire Kingdom Inc. has promoted Bill Ihnken to chief operating officer. He will retain his duties as retail division president.
In his new position, Ihnken will assume responsibilities for marketing, inventory control, pricing, point-of-sale system development and facilities. He will continue to report to Orland Wolford, Tire Kingdom's CEO and president.
Since joining Tire Kingdom in June 2000 as president of retail, Ihnken has been responsible for sales and operations for TBC's retail division. The 600-plus store chain does business as Tire Kingdom, Merchant's Tire & Auto, and National Tire & Battery.
Prior to joining Tire Kingdom, Ihnken worked in a series of senior level retail positions at the former Michel Tire Co.
