Vogue Tyre grows its tire dealer customer base

Vogue Tyre & Rubber Co. boosted its distribution among independent tire dealerships within the last year, signing new dealers in California and also in Denver, Colo., and St. Louis, Mo.

Vogue Tyre has about 400 customers in all, Greg Hathcock, the company's president, said during a press conference held earlier this week.

Car dealerships comprise 80% to 85% of the private brand marketer's client base; tire retailers and wholesalers make up the rest.

Discussing the possibility of adding more tire dealers to its customer mix, Hathcock said Vogue will "go on a market-by-market basis, based on the potential we see. You have to make sure you approach it the right way. You don't want to set up redundant distribution."
