New Kumho Solus KR21 features free roadside assistance plan

June 8, 2007

Kumho Tire U.S.A. Inc. has launched its new Solus KR21 premium touring "megaline" tire with a free point-of-sale kit for dealers and a quality assurance warranty.

The broad-line tire was displayed for the first time at the Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) Show in Las Vegas last November (See "SEMA Show, Day Three: Ecsta run-flat tops list of new tires from Kumho," Nov. 2).

The tire also is backed by an 85,000-mile limited tread wear warranty and a 25% free road hazard replacement policy.

The POS kit, which will be sent to all Kumho direct and associate dealers, includes the following:

* a bay banner,

* a tire center,

* consumer brochures,

* warranty cards, and

* a dealer launch brochure.

The KR21 also offers consumers a first from Kumho: a free, two-year, 24-hour roadside assistance warranty. The assistance plan covers consumers anywhere in the United States and Canada for two years from the date of purchase.

In the event of a flat tire, the consumer simply calls a toll-free number and a qualified service provider will be dispatched to remove the flat tire and install the consumer's spare tire.

The design of the KR21 balances high mileage, low noise, ride comfort, all-season traction and handling capabilities, according to the company. The T-rated tire is available in close to 50 sizes ranging from 155/80R13 to 235/65R18.
