Pirelli SpA has developed a sophisticated tire pressure monitoring system for the aftermarket: X-Pressure.
According to a report from Tyres & Accessories magazine, the system is designed for cars, light vans, SUVs and light trucks. It is approved for use in both the United States and Europe.
X-Pressure uses wireless technology to transmit
inflation pressure and temperature data from transmitters in each wheel to an in-cabin receiver/display module.
