Continental's de Louw officially takes over the passenger tire division

Martien de Louw has been named to Continental AG's executive board; he will oversee the German company's passenger tire division.
Continental AG Board Chairman Manfred Wennemer previously supervised the passenger tire unit.
Wennemer has been named Continental's director of personnel, replacing Klaus Friedland, who will leave the tiremaker's executive board at the end of 2003.
DeLouw initially will manage the passenger tire division from Continental Tire North America Inc. headquarters in Charlotte, N.C.
He comes to Continental from DAF Trucks, a subsidiary of Seattle, Wash.-based Paccar Group.
