The Tire Retread Information Bureau (TRIB) is in the midst of the largest new membership drive in its history.
TRIB is sending membership invitations to "as many retreaders in the world as we can identify," said Managing Director Harvey Brodsky at the Tire Industry Association OTR Tire Conference in Phoenix, Ariz.
The organization has sent invitations to prospective members "for years, (but) this time, we're hitting them a little harder."
New TRIB members who join during the campaign will receive two years of membership for the price of a one-year membership, applied to 2003 and 2004 dues, according to Brodsky. They also will receive a free copy of TRIB's Industry Recommended Practices for Tire Retreading and Repairing, a $75 value.
