Goodyear shuffles OE execs

Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co. has promoted Byron Meyer to director, original equipment sales and marketing, North American Tire.

Meyer replaces Harold Waser, who is retiring after 37 years of service.

David Bair has taken Meyer's previous position of marketing manager, OE consumer tires.

In a related move, Jeff Row -- previously marketing manager, OE commercial tires, North American Tire -- has been named Goodyear's global account manager for its General Motors business.

Row replaces James Maftell, who is retiring after 35 years with the Akron, Ohio-based tiremaker.

Both Meyer and Row will report to Kevin Kramer, vice president, OE sales, North American Tire.
