Bridgestone/Firestone to raise prices

Bridgestone/Firestone North American Tire LLC (BFNT) will raise prices on its Bridgestone and Firestone brand replacement passenger and light truck tires by up to 4%, effective Oct. 1.

The increase will vary by product line and "is due to the escalating costs of raw materials, including the cost of utilities," say BFNT officials.
