Harvick now turns his attention to his Champion-powered No. 29 Budweiser Chevrolet, which will compete in Saturday’s Irwin Tools Night Race on Bristol’s famed .533-mile oval.

Harvick, owner of three Truck Series and two Nationwide Series teams, has won three of the five Truck events he has entered this year.  He also has three wins, six top-fives and 11 top-10s, and stands third overall, in Sprint Cup Series action.

“Kevin has a great shot at a Sprint Cup title and he’s clearly having a lot of fun in his limited Truck Series schedule,” said Federal-Mogul Motorsports Director Tim Nelson. “The No. 2 Chevrolet simply overpowered the rest of the field over the final 10 laps – it was a very convincing performance by Kevin, the KHI team and Champion spark plugs.”

Federal-Mogul’s “Performance Driven” Champion brand now covers an extensive portfolio of technologies, including spark plugs; oil, air and cabin air filters; wiper blades; and chemical additives for automotive, lawn and garden, marine, motorcycle, ATV and other applications.

Harvick’s reliance on Champion spark plugs goes back several years. Champion plugs have long helped power the No. 29 Budweiser Chevrolet and he uses Champion plugs in his fleet of go-karts.

“Champion helps our teams build more power,” Harvick said. “I’ve seen it in every NASCAR car and truck I’ve raced, in go-kart racing, powersport applications and in small engines like lawn and garden equipment.”
