Pep Boys gets savvy with TreadSmart

“We’ve taken the mystery out of the tire buying experience and made it easy with TreadSmart.” (Pep Boys launched TreadSmart in the third quarter.)

TreadSmart is a tire selection system that allows customers to research what they need before they purchase online or in-store.

The web-based system asks tire buyers questions specific to that individual’s driving habits, and makes recommendations based on that information. Plus, TreadSmart allows the customer to schedule installation at any of the more than 700 Pep Boys locations nationwide -- even same day.

Pep Boys adds that it will beat any tire deal by 5%.
