"We're forecasting at least another 12 months of strong demand for commercial truck tires," Jon Rich, president of Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co.'s North American Tire division, said at last week's 2005 World Tire Expo.
In response, Rich says Goodyear will increase its production capacity at its Buffalo, N.Y., and Latin American truck tire factories.
"We've been working with our plants to give them the tools they need to manufacture as many tires as they can."
