S&S Firestone opens warehouse

S&S Firestone Inc. opened its eighth distribution center last week in Columbia, S.C.

"We are receiving tires, effective last Monday," says S&S official Brooks Swentzel.

In addition to eight warehouses, S&S Firestone -- which is based in Lexington, Ky. -- operates 25 retail outlets and 10 commercial tire centers, making it the 22nd largest independent tire dealership in North America, according to Modern Tire Dealer research.
