TBC promotes Olsen to Carroll Tire president

TBC Corp. has named Erik Olsen president of the company's wholly-owned Carroll Tire subsidiary. He will retain his role as senior vice president and chief marketing officer of TBC.

In his dual role, Olsen will:

* report to Larry Day, TBC's CEO and president, on corporate marketing initiatives;

* report to Ken Dick, CEO and president of TBC's Wholesale Segment, on Carroll Tire initiatives.

Since joining TBC in December 2004, Olsen has been responsible for, and will continue to manage, the development of all of the company's proprietary brands. He will focus on the retail store brands, which include Big O Tires Inc., Tire Kingdom Inc., Merchants Inc. and National Tire & Battery (NTB). He also will continue working with TBC's marketing and advertising groups.

Prior to joining TBC, Olsen served as vice president of sales at Michelin North America Inc.
