Goodyear Assurance chosen for OE fitments

The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co. reports its Assurance featuring ComforTred Technology premium passenger tire has been chosen as original equipment for 2006 Chrysler 300C, Dodge Magnum R/T and Dodge Charger R/T models.

This is the first OE position for the tire line, the company notes.

Goodyear engineers said the Assurance ComforTred tires (size P225/60R18) were tested and tuned for the vehicles on Goodyear's 7,250-acre test facility in San Angelo, Texas.

"From the beginning, the goal was a world-class tire line targeted at

luxury and premium vehicles. Our Assurance line of tires were built with this objective," said Mike Parnell, Goodyear's vice president, original equipment tires.
