Michelin gives away free phone cards in Uniroyal promotion

Uniroyal Tire, part of Michelin North America Inc., is helping patients at area hospitals and the Greenville (S.C.) Ronald McDonald House connect with their families this month.

Tim Jamison, Uniroyal Tire brand director, and employees from Michelin North America distributed 600 calling cards to patients currently admitted in hospitals located in Greenville, Spartanburg, Columbia and Anderson, S.C., along with the Greenville Ronald McDonald House. Each card has 250 minutes of talking time.

The calling cards were part of a recent sales promotion where consumers received one 250-minute calling card for each set of Uniroyal tires purchased.

"It is always difficult when a family member is hospitalized and we are proud to be able to help connect patients with their families," said Jamison. "We hope that this small contribution will help local patients stay in touch with their relatives."
