TIA creates new logo for World Tire Expo

March 10, 2004

The Tire Industry Association (TIA) has unveiled a new logo for the TIA World Tire Expo that combines the now familiar TIA logo (with a tire completing the "A" in TIA) with another tire used as the "O" in the word "World" of World Tire Expo.

"The new World Tire Expo logo works with our logo to ensure that the tire industry knows that TIA is running this international show geared towards the commercial, retreading and recycling segments of the market," said Larry Morgan, TIA president.

"The TIA World Tire Expo provides an ideal forum for diverse individuals to meet, network and advance new business and marketing opportunities," said Morgan. "We have a long, rich history with this show that we must preserve."

The show will be held in Louisville, Ky., April 20-22, 2005, the same time the city presents "Thunder Over Louisville," the largest fireworks display in the country that kicks off the Kentucky Derby.

"We feel that through this updated logo TIA is returning to the core markets that made this show unique over the years," said Roy Littlefield, TIA executive vice president. "By combining the show with something the magnitude of Thunder Over Louisville, the TIA World Tire Expo will be a huge success in 2005. This world-class exhibition is the number one showcase dedicated to those who have an interest in tire, rubber and transportation services."
