Bridgestone will raise prices in Japan

Bridgestone Corp. will increase prices for tires sold in Japan on June 1 in response to rising raw material costs.

Passenger and light truck tire prices will rise by 5% while medium truck and bus tire prices will experience a 6% hike.

A spokesman for Bridgestone subsidiary Bridgestone Americas Holding Inc. would not comment when asked by mtdealer.com if the tiremaker has plans to raise prices in North America.
