Maxxis awards scholarships to 31 students

Maxxis International recently established scholarships to honor students from the Class of 2004 for their outstanding academic achievement.

The 31 valedictorians and salutatorians from 15 Gwinnett County, Ga., public high schools were awarded scholarships totaling $15,500. Maxxis is based in Gwinnett County.

"We at Maxxis have long felt that education is the pillar to any community and we are proud to provide funding to those individuals who share the same beliefs," says Human Resources Manager Kellie Carter.

High school students receiving scholarships included Bolin Niu and Patrick Harazin (Berkmar High); Christinia Hernandez, Shuvro De and Francesco Guglielmo (Brookwood); Krista Jennings and Thomas Stark (Central Gwinnett); Ehsan Maleki and Matt Elliot (Collins Hill); Patrick Wilson and Minye Fu (Dacula); Yasamin Vojdani and Cinthia Nojima (Duluth); and Joshua Golden and Jenna Findlan (Grayson).

Other winners included Sravanti Kusuma and Puja Patel (Meadowcreek); Julie Xu and Jonathan Fu (Norcross); Amy Conway and Jason Alexander (North Gwinnett); Tyler Bridgers and Barbna De (Parkview); Pamela Somerville and Michelle Smith (Peachtree Ridge); Konstantin Nikolaev and Tiffany Nichols (Shiloh); and Uran Piedra and Lindsay Bryant (Phoenix).

from South Gwinnett High School also received scholarships.
